€235 million increase to the existing facility supported by a total of 11 global lenders, incorporates improved terms and conditions Total debt term extended by an additional year, until 2029

Zelestra, a global, multi-technology, customer-focused renewable energy company, has closed an increase of €235 million to its sustainability-linked loan, which now totals €770 million.

Originally signed in 2023 and increased in 2024, the upsized facility incorporates improved terms and conditions and is being supported by 11 leading international banks – all existing lenders to Zelestra — reflecting their strong and ongoing commitment to the company’s business model and long-term vision.

The €770m facility has been extended by an additional year and will now run until 2029.

This operation consolidates the company’s financial position, enhances its credit profile, and ensures the necessary resources to address future challenges and opportunities.

The funds will be deployed to build new wind, solar and battery storage capacity in its six strategic markets – the US, Germany, Spain, Italy, Latin America and India. The facility enables Zelestra to further support its rapid global growth. At end of 2023 the company had a contracted portfolio globally of around 1 GW, which has increased over five-times to 5.4 GW in under 2 years. By 2026, Zelestra is targeting 9 GW of contracted projects.

Xavier Puig, Zelestra’s CFO, said: “Zelestra’s customer-centric strategy is accelerating our growth in all our key markets. Our customers trust us to deliver the clean energy solutions they need, and we are pleased that these major lenders also continue to trust in our strategy and our outlook. This increased financial capacity will enhance our ability to deliver the wind, solar and battery storage solutions that our clients’ need.”
