Zelestra, a global, multi-technology, customer-focused renewable energy company, has begun construction of Jasper County Solar in Jasper County, Indiana. This project is part of an environmental attributes purchase agreement (EAPA) signed earlier this year with Meta, which honors Meta’s commitment to its ambitious decarbonization goals.

Jasper County Solar has a capacity of 60 MWac or 79 MWdc. This EAPA with Meta for 100% of Jasper County Solar’s output represents a significant step in Zelestra’s business strategy in the United States, and demonstrates Zelestra’s capabilities in the U.S. and its commitment to execution, delivering results for its corporate customers.

Indiana generates 10% of its energy from renewables, and Jasper County Solar will help advance the state towards a carbon-free future while generating community benefits and jobs.

Leo Moreno, Zelestra’s CEO, commented: “We are proud to offer global decarbonization solutions that support local carbon-free power generation. This project not only represents a significant step forward for Zelestra, but also reinforces our commitment to contribute to the sustainable development of the communities where we operate and provide our customers with innovative technological solutions”.

Zelestra currently has 4.4 GW of renewable projects in its US development pipeline.
