Energy Transition Leader of the Year

Our CEO, Leo Moreno, has officially been honoured as the Energy Transition Leader of the Year at the VIRTUS LEADERSHIP & IMPACT AWARDS, hosted by Latin Trade, at a ceremony in Miami.

The awards recognize visionary leaders, ground-breaking initiatives, and influential companies across the Ibero-American region.

Leo was recognized for his outstanding leadership in accelerating the global shift to clean, carbon-free energy. Leo has been pioneering innovative clean energy solutions in the sector for two decades. As CEO of Zelestra, he has overseen incredible growth and transformation of the company into a customer-focused, multi-technology, global leader, supporting major corporations - from hyperscalers to large industrials - to decarbonize at scale.

The organizers particularly noted Leo’s strategic vision, commitment to collaboration and operational excellence that have made him a driving force behind the energy transition.

Across the day he also sat down for an interview with Gabriela Frias, anchor at CNN, discussing the importance of the energy transition to support global economic growth, as well as his plans for future growth and success for Zelestra.

In a roundtable discussion, he also joined other industry leaders from organizations such as Amazon and CAF -banco de desarrollo de América Latina y el Caribe- - in a session chaired by McKinsey & Company - to explore challenges and opportunities for economies across Ibero-America, and the path forward for the energy transition, with new technologies at the forefront.
